New Dementia Training Starting Soon . . .

The Virtual Dementia Tour™ (VDT™) by Second Wind Dreams ™ is a fabulous training tool to help others understand and be sensitized to cognitive impairment more fully. With the way the room is set up and garbing the participants with gloves, impaired goggles, and the use of a pre-recorded audio tape meant to confuse, an environment can be simulated memory impairment and physical decline as well.

During the session, participants must perform various activities of daily living such choosing an item of clothing, setting the table, folding towels, find and put on a necktie, clear the table, match socks, etc. Participants take a pre and post test followed by a debriefing to discuss the experience and what they have learned.
