The Leadership Team

Christine Smith, Executive Director
Christine was born in New Jersey but was raised as an "Air Force Brat" where she was stationed in many places. Christine attended nursing school in Central New York in 1987 and worked for two hospitals and a nursing home before her career in Assisted Living. She began as the Executive Director of Heritage Green Assisted Living in 2002. With experience in the health care field, Christine takes great pride in assuring the residents receive the highest quality services and we will work very hard to "exceed their expectations." Christine states she "has received many blessings in my life, but nothing would compare to the time I spend with my children; oldest daughter, Mandie, my son Justin, and my youngest son, Jordan, and my husband of 24 years, Eric. I have also been blessed with a son in law Eric, and a new sweet grandson, Cannen. We enjoy the beach, cruises, traveling and we're very active in our church."

Holly Carson, Marketing and Admissions Director
Holly is originally from the Eastern Shore of Virginia and moved to the Richmond area after she graduated from Longwood in 1986 with a degree in Social Work. She has worked in healthcare for over 26 years in areas of skilled nursing facility, home health and DME. She has been at Heritage Green for 8 years and has been so blessed to be a part of a great team. Holly particularly loves working with elderly populations and their families, which she knew in her high school years that she wanted to do. She has been a Field instructor for The VCU Social Of Social Work and has been proud to watch her students graduate and move on to productive careers. Holly has a son, Joe who is in his 2nd year of college and a daughter, Jenna who is a junior in high school. She enjoys zumba classes, playing tennis and reading.
Katherine Watts, Life Enrichment Director
Kat has been Heritage Green's Activity Director for 4 1/2 years and loves her residents. She graduated from Longwood University with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. Kat has worked with both assisted living and memory care populations, but presently is focused on our assisted living residents. She does many outings into the Mechanicsville and Hanover area as well as leads daily activities within the facility. When she's not enriching the lives of others, Kat spends time with her shihtzu/Maltese "child" Tanner.
Tony Moore, Housekeeping/Maintenance Director
Tony is from Los Angeles, Ca. In 2005 he moved his mom and brothers to Raleigh, NC where he would meet his wife, Ebony. He moved to Richmond in 2009 with his wife and oldest daughter, Taylor. For the past 4 years Tony has taken his life experiences and has been a helping hand in dealing with inner-city youth and teaching them life through basketball. He also coaches girls' varsity basketball at Collegiate. In 2012, Tony has his second daughter Tiffany. Outside of spending time with his family, Tony writes poems, rides his motorcycle, and attends the University of Richmond.
Andrea Evans, Dietary Director
Andrea has been the Dietary Manager at Heritage Green for the last 7 years. She prides herself on providing our residents with wholesome and delicious meals prepared by her staff. Andrea states she "finds much pleasure in planning meals that the resident's love." She is married, lives in King and Queen and in her spare time, she loves to shop or bake with her 10 year old daughter. She says that she has learned patience from her daughter and she has learned from the residents that "the oldest trees often bear the sweetest fruit."
Lisa McCready, Evergreen Program Coordinator
Lisa is a graduate of the University of Toledo where she earned her bachelor's degree in social work. Lisa practiced as a licensed social worker in the state of Ohio for nine years before moving to Virginia with her husband and two children. She also served as the program coordinator for the special care unit at Harborside Healthcare for four years .She is certified in Validation Therapy and is a certified dementia care trainer through the Alzheimer's Association.
Kristen Whelan, Business Office Manager
Kristen was born and raised in the Midlothian area of Richmond. She has been the Business Office Manager at Heritage Green for a little over a year, and worked previously in the same position for almost four years. She has always had a love for working with the senior population, and has previously worked as a program coordinator for independent living, assisted living and memory care populations. She has worked in senior living for 12 years and enjoys seeing the residents' smiling faces each day! Kristen lives in Midlothian, with her two children, 7 year old daughter, Peyton, and 4 year old son, Chase, and two dogs, Rosco and Shiloh. Kristen loves to read, spend time camping or at the beach with the kids, and watching the Chicago Bears play football!
Kimberly Jacobs, Resident Care Director
Kim Jacobs is originally from Maryland, and has lived in Virginia for the past 15 years. Kim has worked in the healthcare industry for the past 19 years, serving as an LPN for the last 9 years. Kim came to Heritage Green from serving as Director of Nursing for a large assisted living and independent living community. Throughout her nursing career she has worked as a unit manager in a long term care facility and has worked as a home health nurse. She brings knowledge and compassion while remaining committed to bringing quality care to the residents she serves. Kim loves serving as a nurse in the senior population and enjoys getting to know each of our residents. Kim lives in Ashland with her two daughters, Adrianna, 9 and Brielle, 8 months, whom she loves spending time with. In her spare time Kim loves taking her children to the beach and attending sports games. She is a die-hard Redskins fan!
Jemetrice Blakely, Assistant Resident Care Director
Jemetrice has been at Heritage Green for 9 years. She began as a Certified Nursing Assistant and transitioned to Assistant Activity Director. Her hard work and dedication to Heritage Green has brought her to the position of the Assistant Resident Care Director. She became a Licensed Medication Technician in 2010. Jemetrice takes her position seriously caring for the residents and feels honored to do so. She trains the nursing staff with the same mindset. Jemetrice is a proud mother of four children, 3 sons and her youngest a daughter. She likes to spend her extra time with her daughter shopping and having that special mother/daughter time.
